Wow, where has the time gone? Can't believe it's June already and that I'm moving in 2 weeks! Found several apartments I loved but it doesn't look like any of them are going to work out. I'm totally bummed, but trying to be optimistic that something else is out there. Still, am busy all this week and going out of state the next, so I have no idea when I can look for another apartment. It's kind of stressing me out....crossing my fingers everything works out, somehow! Ahh.

Sunday Sale Alert - 5/30/10 - 6/5/10
Hey everyone! Again, sorry for the lack of updates! I know I keep saying that life is incredibly crazy, but it is! Only a few more weeks and things will slow down! Getting ready to move has been keeping me incredibly busy, from looking for an apartment, to buying things I need, to trying to organize and pack! On top of everything, I am going away in 3 weeks for an amazing event! I can't tell you guys what it is right now (no, it's not IMATS) but I will tell you all about it when I get back! But, that being said, I have so much to prepare for that, that I have had hardly any time for videos lately. I have all these ideas for videos that I want to film, but no time! But, like I said, once I move, my work hours will be much less than they are now, and I'll have a lot more time to make videos!
Getting back to makeup related business, did you know that Rite Aid is now requiring a bonus/rewards card, just like CVS? I tried to buy something on sale at Rite Aid the other day and it rang up as the normal price. The salesperson told me that I needed to sign up for the rewards card to receive the item at the discounted price. Hmm. I signed up, because I figure it is worth it to save the money, but still, it's just another club card to add to my key ring. Just thought I'd let you all know for the next time you go shopping at Rite Aid.

Come Shopping With Me! - CVS/Pharmacy

Here are my top tips on how to get a great deal when you are shopping at CVS!
1. Visit the ExtraCare Coupon Center! These coupon centers are relatively new to CVS, but they are a great way to save a little extra money during each shopping trip! All you have to do is scan your CVS card, and you will automatically receive free coupons that you can use when you make a purchase. If you're like me, you probably misplace all those coupons you clipped before leaving home, so I love the fact that I can get great coupons right when I walk in the door! Also, CVS has told me that the coupons you receive will likely be based off previous purchases. This means if you frequently buy cosmetics at CVS, you are likely to get more cosmetic coupons. Awesome!
2. Choose Generic Products Wherever Possible - CVS offers many generic/CVS brand products for a much cheaper price. These products have the same ingredients as the brand names you usually purchase, but for a lower price. If you are looking to save a few dollars, definitely opt for the CVS brand, instead!
3. Buy Products That Are On Sale When Possible - If you follow my YouTube channel, you know that I update you all every Sunday on the weekly drugstore sales. If you can wait until a product you need goes on sale, you will be able to save some extra money. Drugstores like CVS frequently have buy one, get one free sales, or buy one, get one 50% off sales. It's not always practical or possible to wait for sales, but if you can, you will be able to get a great deal. Also, stock up on your favorite cosmetics when they are buy one, get one free, or on sale!
4. Keep Your Eyes Open for Clearance Products - Drugstores, especially CVS, it seems, frequently have clearance items for up to 75% off the original price. Their biggest clearance sales seem to happen once or twice a year, but occasionally you can find products that are being phased out on great clearance sales. This is a great time to try a new product or new color/shade!
Hopefully these tips will help you all to save a little bit of money. Cosmetics are expensive so it's great to save some pennies wherever possible! Hope you all are having a great day. What a week!
Hi everyone! Sorry this update is getting to you late, but as some of you know, I was sooo sick yesterday! I had one commitment I had to fulfill and luckily I felt well enough to go at the time! The rest of the day, I was just in bed feeling horrible! It was not a fun experience, needless to say! I don't even know what I was sick with...maybe a stomach bug? A 24 hour virus? I'm not sure but I am SO glad to be feeling back to normal! Thank you to everyone who left me get well wishes on Twitter! That was so nice of you all and they most definitely helped!

Life is busier than ever, but better than ever!
Hello everyone!! My goodness, life has been nothing short of a whirlwind lately. I've been traveling the past three weekends so I haven't been able to make many new videos. I am SO sorry because I know a lot of you are waiting for requested vids! This week, I WILL upload: Top 10 Elf Favorites, MAC Haul, NYX Haul (possibly a collective haul), and a Project 10 Pan Update! That's a lot but I owe it to you guys! Thanks so much for being patient with my busy schedule!
The good news is that I finally got my schedule sorted out for the summer. I will be working much better hours and I won't be traveling as much! I am going to be moving in about a month (crazy!) and then everything should settle into a more calm routine (I hope!) I should have time to relax and time to spend with my friends and family. I will also have a ton of time to make videos, so you'll be seeing me a lot more this summer! :-)

What a Whirlwind Weekend!
Wow, this weekend was super busy and just flew by! I was traveling for some of the weekend, I went to visit some of my friends and we had an awesome time! But, girls will be girls, and we didn't end up getting to bed until about 4:30 AM last night! I'm back!
Hi guys! First, let me apologize for not uploading any new videos this week or writing on here! It has been a crazy week! I was so busy, and then I got some bad news about my job as well. So, I apologize but I promise to get a new video up tonight and lots more this coming week! I am going to pre-record some videos tonight so no matter how busy this week gets, I will still have new videos for you guys! Thanks for bearing with me and being patient. Hopefully this week will be much less stressful, though! :-)
I just got back from Ulta where I went to get some OPI polishes. I have always used China Glaze but figured it was time I tried OPI! While I was there, I swatched some of the Urban Decay shadows for fun and oh my goodness, they are SO soft and smooth! I have never felt eyeshadows like those before! I am in love with the Deluxe Shadow Palette, especially the color "scratch." Right now, UD is 30% off...but I'm on Project 10 Pan. Would ordering something while it is on sale and not using it until I finish Project 10 Pan be cheating????
Well, I have a ton of cleaning to do tonight...I've been out all day shopping and getting things done and my house just gets messier each day! Let's just say, the laundry didn't even make it into the basket this week. :-\ Well, at least I have tonight and tomorrow to get cleaned up and re-organized before the week starts again! I am trying to stay positive about life and my job situation and hopefully all will work out. I hope you all are having a relaxing weekend! Sunday Sale Alert and Update
Hey guys!
Sorry I haven't written in a while! Life has just been crazy, but a good kind of crazy. I have had so much to do but I am still enjoying and loving life so much. Come summer, I am going to be moving and starting a new job, so that will be a little hectic after first, but after that, my schedule should become more regular and I will have more time for writing and filming videos.
Project 10 Pan is going well. I have finished one product, and am almost finished 2 more. I never realized how big the number 10 was before, haha! I feel like it is going to take a while for me to finish 10 whole products! Not being able to buy makeup is definitely hard, but I have also been enjoying shopping in my own collection. I must say, I was looking through what I have last night, and I found a lot of things I have never used, or only used once. Most of these things are products I forgot I even bought. I am definitely looking forward to using them again! I will do a video update on this soon.
Also coming this week is a mini reviews video on several products people have asked me to review. These products include the Elf concealer palette, Olay facial wash, LA Colors Metallic Palette, and....I can't remember what else, but there are a few more products. If there is anything else you have seen in one of my haul videos that you would like reviewed, please let me know!
I also still have an Elf haul to show you all, and a huge NYX haul! I'm not sure if I can do that one in under 10 minutes, but I will try! These are items I purchased before I started Project 10 Pan (obviously), but never got around to showing you in a haul video.

"Don't Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me" Review
I just finished a video review of "Don't Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me" by Paula Begoun. You can check it out here:

Overall, it is an excellent reference guide, especially if you are trying to save some money. It can help to steer you away from products that aren't really worth the money to purchase. I have agreed with most of the reviews I have read so far, so I feel like I can trust this book as a good reference source. The other great thing about the book is that you don't have to do a whole lot of reading to find out whether or not the product is worth purchasing. Now, I'm not saying you shouldn't read! I used to work at a library, so you know I definitely am an advocate of reading! ;-) But, sometimes time is of the essence, and you just don't have time to read a lot of reviews! This book is great because the reviews are short and sweet. You can just open to a product, or a company, and get the information quickly, probably more quickly than if you had to watch 5-10 reviews on YT or makeupalley.com.
I definitely recommend checking this book out. It is around $20, but worth every penny! Plus, it will help you save money in the long run by letting you know which products aren't worth your money to purchase. I had heard about this book for so long but I had never checked it out! I'm so glad that I did now, and that is why I'm encouraging you to do the same! If you aren't set on buying it just yet, check your local library. That's what I did (and frequently do, to preview items for free)!

"Whataya Want From Me?"
Hey guys! The title is Adam Lambert's new song, but I guess it has to do with this week's poll, too! I really want to know what kinds of videos you guys would like to see from me. I have sooo many ideas for videos and I don't know which ones I should do next or which ones you would all most like to see! By the way, I have gotten a lot of video requests, and I haven't forgotten about them! Most of these were product reviews and I just want to have an adequate chance to try out the product before doing a review. Don't worry, I will review them as soon as I can! :-)
I have some ideas for tutorials too, since I have only done one so far. I think I am going to do a spring makeup tutorial, since that was what I asked you all to do for my contest. I thought it would be fun for you all to see a spring makeup look that I created, too! I will probably also work on a neutral eye tutorial since that's the look I wear most often. If there are any tutorials you would particularly like to see, please leave a comment here, or send me a message on YouTube.
In other news, I am working on making my first MAC order EVER! Now, I know that is not something that I would typically buy, or that is in my budget, but I did receive a gift card recently as a gift, so I don't have to worry about the price. I'm excited about trying MAC...the main thing I want to try is one of the paint pots, because I hear they are an excellent eye primer. If they could make all eyeshadows, including very cheap ones, last longer and not crease, it might be something I would be interested in purchasing again. Once I get the order and try it out, I will be sure to let you all know!

It's A Wonderful Life!
Hey everyone! No, I'm not talking about the movie in the title, but just reality! The weather has been so beautiful lately and that always puts me in such a good mood! Plus, over the last two days, I only had to work a total of 5 hours, so that was wonderful! I got to spend a lot of time relaxing, making videos and shopping! Always good! ;-)
Speaking of videos, coming this weekend are a small collective haul video, a tutorial and a book review (don't worry, it relates to makeup)! Luckily, my weekend isn't too busy so I will have lots of time to film AND judge the winner of my 200+ subscribers contest! You guys are making it so hard for me to pick a winner because all the looks have been awesome! I am really wondering if I will be able to pick just one! And if you haven't entered, you still can! Just get your entry in before midnight EST on Saturday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Good Morning! Happy St. Patrick's Day to all! I may not look irish, but I am part Irish! Anyway, I am lucky enough to have most of the day off from work and I am so happy about this because it is absolutely gorgeous outside! Sunny and breezy here, I couldn't ask for a better day!

Still, I really need to do this because I should be saving my money. I also think it would be a great opportunity to discover those products that I used to use frequently, and also those that I have bought, and haven't really used much. I have a ton of things like that. :-\

I think this would be really difficult, because I have rarely hit pan on anything, (except my E.l.f. complexion perfection palettes, which I use up SO quickly!) let alone 10 items!!! Still, I really need to do this because I should be saving my money. I also think it would be a great opportunity to discover those products that I used to use frequently, and also those that I have bought, and haven't really used much. I have a ton of things like that. :-\

Sunday update
Hi everyone!
Wow, sorry I have not had the time to update for a little while, but life has been crazy! This weekend my sister came to visit me (she lives about 5 hours away) and we went shopping for her wedding dress! She is getting married in August, so she really needed to find one! Luckily, she did find a dress that looked gorgeous on her! Now we just have to shop for bridesmaids dresses....I am trying to help out with that because I am the maid of honor! Anyway, it was a great weekend, but it went entirely too fast! I feel like I didn't get done nearly enough!
So, I didn't have very much time to work on videos, either, but I promise the Sunday Sale Alert video will be up tonight! Also, I am working on an All-Elf Tutorial so that will be up either later tonight or tomorrow night.
I hope that the Sunday Sale Alert videos are helpful to you all. They do take a good amount of time to put together, so I hope that you all find them informative. I am wondering if there is a better way for me to do the videos though, possibly using a different format. Do you all like the slideshow format, or would it be easier for me just to list the sales here in my blog and then make a separate video talking about the sale highlights? Please let me know which you would prefer. Like I said, I do these videos for you guys, so I definitely would like your feedback! <3

Fun Makeup Survey!

6. Biggest makeup mishap today? Probably just being in a hurry and not having that much time to devote to any one thing
7. Did you have a makeup inspiration in mind? Not today, I was too rushed! :-)

9. What's part of your routine is the most fun? doing my eyes...I just got a new NYX 10 color palette and I love picking and choosing colors out of it!

Random Updates!
Hey guys! Wow, it has been such a busy weekend! I can't believe it is almost over! I had a work meeting today, and then I went shopping and got my haircut! Now I'm working on uploading the Sunday Sale Alert video while watching the Oscars! Definitely some beautiful people and gowns at this awards show!
Also, am I the only one who didn't know that Kate Gosselin from Jon and Kate Plus 8 was going to be on Dancing with the Stars?? Hmm, that will certainly be interesting! I just wonder how she is going to manage taking care of her children while training for the show. From what I understand, the dancers have to go through rigorous training for the show, for upwards of 8 hours a day!
